What next? There are many fun ways for teachers and parents to reinforce correct finger use, even when early elementary school students don't have access to computers
The keys can be verbally revised in a 5-minute mini-lesson in class or at the kitchen table while a parent prepares dinner. All teachers and parents need are two "key" pages that contain all the quirky association words
Using the floor keyboard game, its alphabet cards or a keyboard drawing on a whiteboard, keyboard reinforcement can be combined with any subject class activity, for example, a writing class can be split into "typists" and "writers" and the game played by half the class to spell curriculum words
A 5-minute warm-up exercise when students first arrive in class could be having the students take turns at placing the alphabet cards, in correct sequence, onto the floor keyboard. If a student needs help, all students would say aloud the quirky association words
. . many more keyboard reinforcement ideas to come
